Delta Kitchen Faucet Improvements

Delta Products at Faucet Depothas made some nice improvements to a few of their hardest working deck mounted kitchen faucets with DIAMOND Seal Technology. These upgrades affect the Classic Collection, the Classic HDF and the Collins Collection.  Let’s take a closer look at two of these faucets and the technology that makes them a popular model around the globe.

Delta’s Single HandleDelta Classic Single Handle Kitchen Faucet With Spray Classic kitchen faucet has been a staple of the company for a very long time. These faucets are known to handle the toughest of tasks with ease. They have a long spout that swivels 180 degrees for added convenience and the single lever handle makes the Classic Kitchen Faucet very easy to use. These faucets are WaterSense certified ADA compliant and are a popular choice for many homeowners due to their price point and reliability.

Along with the Classic Collection, the Delta Collins Collection of Kitchen Faucets also received the sameDelta Collins Single Handle Kitchen Faucet White upgrades. The Collins Collection has a sleeker design than its classic cousin while still maintaining its simplicity and dependability. This collection also offers DURAMOUNT installation which brings a high level of durability and performance you can trust. Available in 3 popular finishes from the very clean looking White, to the more modern Brilliance Stainless and the classic Chrome, you are sure to find a finish to compliment your decor.

Now let’s take a minute and discover why Delta Faucets are such a popular brand in millions of homes around the world. Delta has many patents and technologies incorporated into each one of their faucets but a lot of those exterior innovations would be useless without a revolutionary technology that you don’t see called DIAMOND Seal Technology. This exclusive technology uses a valve with a rugged diamond coating which extends the life of the faucets up to 5 million uses and it keeps water inside the faucet out of contact with potential metal contaminants. Delta faucets with DIAMOND Seal Technology have been proven to last 10 times longer that the industry standard life span of other faucets which break down after only 500,000 uses. Not only do they last a very long time, they also have a handle limit stop on the DIAMOND Valve cartridge that easily limits the handle motion from a full flow to a 50/50 mix of hot and cold water.  This feature is the key to prevent sensitive skin from scalding. This is the exactly the reason why Delta Faucets are a leader in the plumbing industry, without the best internal components in their faucets, everything else is really just for show.

Constantly striving to bring you a better faucet, the Delta Faucet Company has made the following key improvements to the Classic, Classic HDF and Collins Collection of Kitchen Deck Faucets. These upgrades took effect on or before December 1, 2011.

  • O-ring added to the body to improve spout feel.
  • Splines in the sprayer nest were modified to further eliminate sprayer movement.
  • Gasket modified to enhance installation and prevent contact between InnoFlex waterways and stainless steel sinks.
  • Spout swing stop moved inside the body to improve appearance.
  • Red/blue indicator button added to “Classic” handle.

It’s apparent that Delta is a company that listens to their customer’s feedback while constantly testing their products in state of the art facilities. Their corporate values reflect their enormous success. Deltas award winning innovation and customer focus is the reason they produce the best looking, longest lasting and affordable faucets on the market. Moen 2011 WaterSense Excellence Award Winner

WaterSense PartnerMoen is known as the number one faucet brand in North America and now they have another prestigious award to add to their company success. They are the recipient of the 2011 WaterSense Excellence award by the U.S, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  They were picked over a competitive competition due to their continuous efforts in their progressing WaterSense philosophy.

Moen has put a lot of time and money into promoting WaterSense programs using vessels like promotional events and advertisements geared toward media, consumers, associates and trade professionals.  WaterSense campaigns were also launched to support awareness, including “We’re for Water” and “Fix a Leak Week” campaigns.

Taking a quote from the Moen Press Release “Since 2006, WaterSense and our many partners have helped Americans save 125 billion gallons of water and more than $2 billion in water and energy bills,” said Nancy Stoner, EPA’s Acting Assistant Administrator for Water.  125 billion gallons of water and over $2 billion in water and energy bills! Wow, that’s a lot of savings!

The Involvement Moen has with EPA’s WaterSense Program goes way past promotions and event support. Every Moen lavatoryMoen Brantford Lavatory Faucet faucet for single and multi-family use is certified to meet the WaterSense criteria. These important water saving advances now extend into Moen showerheads, which meet the new 2010 WaterSense criteria for showerheads.  And there is no sign of stopping; Moen continues to introduce WaterSense faucets and showerheads in every category, including rainshowersingle-handle, showerheads and hand showers.

Recently Moen added Eco-Performance kitchen faucets to their product offering. These water saving kitchen faucets allow you to effortlessly switch between three water flow settings. These new Eco-Performance options allow the consumer to set the faucet on a low-water flow setting, which is perfect for washing dishes and prepping food. Switching to this setting reduces the flow to only 1.75 gallons per minute, which equals about a 32 percent water savings over the traditional 2.2 gpm water rate.

Again, taking a quote from the Moen Press Release “At Moen, we are constantly developing new products that provide a significant water savings without sacrificing performance, while finding ways to reduce our own environmental footprint.”

Moen Eva FaucetMoen has been a big supporter of the environment for the last twenty five years; they have championed programs for the advancement of sustainable practices both on a consumer and company level. As a company Moen had reduced their environmental footprint by reusing 70 percent of water used in product testing and recycles almost 82 percent of the waste from the manufacturing process. They also use soy based inks for copies and installed water filtration systems to reduce plastic bottle consumption.

All of these advances are a step in the right direction and we at Faucet Depot are proud to be a retail partner for Moen Products. We support and will continue to support Moen’s environmental practices and we hope that more companies will follow in the positive footsteps that Moen has pioneered.
